Handle transparent PNG pixels
JPEG cannot store transparency. The converter composites transparent and semitransparent PNG pixels over your chosen solid color, with white selected initially so empty areas do not turn black.
Choose the right quality
A higher setting retains more photographic detail but can create a larger JPG. Logos, screenshots and text-heavy graphics may show edge artifacts because JPEG uses lossy compression.
Keep the original PNG when needed
Conversion creates a new file and does not modify the source. Keep the PNG master when you need transparency or repeated editing; exported JPG files do not include the source metadata or animation.
