Audio Converter Online

or drop files here

Convert browser-decodable audio into PCM WAV or compressed MP3. Choose the sample rate, mono or stereo layout and MP3 bitrate for your destination workflow.

Open a supported source

Select the audio file you want to convert. Decoding support depends on both the codec and container supported by your browser.

Match the project sample rate

Choose a rate expected by the destination workflow. Raising it does not recreate high-frequency detail absent from the source.

Choose the channel layout

Mono combines channels, while stereo provides two output channels. Converting a mono source to stereo does not create a new spatial recording.

Plan for a larger file

PCM WAV stores uncompressed samples. It often occupies more space than MP3, AAC or other compressed source formats.

Audio Converter FAQs

Yes. Select MP3 and a bitrate of 128, 192 or 320 kbps, then render and download. The MP3 encoder runs locally in a worker.
No. It preserves the decoded signal in PCM but cannot undo earlier lossy compression.
PCM WAV stores decoded samples rather than using MP3’s lossy compression. A stereo, 44.1 kHz, 16-bit WAV uses about 10.6 MB per minute before small header overhead. Conversion can help an editor accept the file, but does not restore information lost during MP3 encoding.
Audio Converter updates the effect during playback when you adjust a control. Use A/B to compare with the source. Render download creates a separate file using the current settings; moving a slider invalidates the previous download.
