Keep the section of a recording you actually need. Set start and end times, add optional short fades and listen to the selected clip before exporting it as WAV.

Choose the useful interval

Open a supported recording and set a start time before the end time. The selected interval becomes the complete output clip.

Listen around the boundaries

Check the first and last words or musical notes. A visually convenient timestamp can still cut through a syllable or transient.

Soften abrupt starts and stops

Set independent start and end fades from zero to two seconds. Cosine-shaped transitions soften the clip edges; leave enough space if the content begins immediately.

Account for the output format

The result is PCM WAV, even when the source is compressed audio. A shorter clip can still occupy more bytes than its MP3 source.

Audio Cutter FAQs

This cutter exports one continuous selected interval. It is not a multi-region timeline editor.
No. The selected audio is rendered to WAV.
Choose a start time and set the end 30 seconds later, such as 10 to 40 seconds. Listen to the selection before downloading. The saved clip is WAV, even when the source is MP3; use a separate encoder if your destination requires another format.
Audio Cutter schedules a background render after a setting changes. The completed preview or analysis replaces the previous result automatically. Processing time depends on recording length and device performance; the status message shows when the new result is ready.
