Audio Speed Changer

or drop files here

Speed up or slow down a track for practice, review or an effect. Preview the new playback rate and export the changed audio as WAV.

Choose a rate relative to the original

A multiplier of 1 keeps the original speed. A rate of 0.5 takes twice as long, while 2 plays in about half the time.

Expect pitch to change too

This tool changes sample playback rate. Slowing lowers pitch and speeding up raises it; it is not independent time-stretching.

Use slower playback for inspection

A slower rate can make timing details easier to follow. The changed pitch may be unsuitable for practicing an instrument in the original key.

Check the rendered duration

The output length follows the chosen rate. Listen to the beginning and ending of the exported treatment before using it in another project.

Audio Speed Changer FAQs

No. This implementation links speed and pitch through playback rate.
It renders a separate WAV result; the selected source file is not overwritten.
At 2×, a two-minute source becomes approximately one minute. At 0.5× it becomes approximately four minutes. This processor changes playback rate, so the pitch rises when speeding up and falls when slowing down. It does not preserve the original key.
Audio Speed Changer updates the effect during playback when you adjust a control. Use A/B to compare with the source. Render download creates a separate file using the current settings; moving a slider invalidates the previous download.
