Online Voice Recorder

or click to record microphone audio via your microphone

Capture a voice note or spoken draft through your microphone. Pause and resume the recording, listen back and download the format supported by your browser.

  • Record from an authorized microphone
  • Pause and resume within a recording
  • Listen back before saving the recording

Allow microphone access

Open the HTTPS page and grant microphone permission when prompted. Confirm the correct input device in your browser or operating-system settings.

Record in a suitable environment

Keep a consistent distance from the microphone and avoid rubbing or wind noise. The tool records the input it receives rather than creating studio-quality sound automatically.

Pause during interruptions

Use pause when you need a break without starting a separate recording. Resume to continue, then stop to prepare the playback result.

Check the saved format

MediaRecorder support varies by browser. The download may be WebM, OGG or an MPEG-4 audio format rather than WAV or MP3.

Voice Recorder FAQs

Check permission, HTTPS, the selected device and whether another application is preventing access.
If the browser can decode the saved recording, open it in Audio to WAV for conversion.
Allow microphone access and make a short test recording. Stop, play it back and check the voice level and background sound before starting the full take. Keep the tab open until you have saved the recording; do not assume it was backed up online.
