Cathedral Reverb
Create cathedral ambience with a 6.5-second decay preset and editable room controls. Cathedral Reverb starts with 45% wet signal, 65 ms pre-delay and a 3800 Hz damping cutoff. These are synthetic room-inspired reflections rather than a measured impulse from a particular building.
- Editable cathedral reverb starting settings
- Local 16-bit PCM WAV export
- Live playback with A/B comparison
Build an unusually long atmosphere
The cathedral preset starts with a 6.5-second decay and 45% wet signal. This is an intentionally spacious texture for slow passages, atmospheric sound design or dramatic transitions.
Separate direct arrival and wash
A 65 ms pre-delay allows the initial event to arrive before the extended reflection field. On short sounds this gap may become noticeable; reduce it when a more connected envelope is preferred.
Keep the tail dark
The 3800 Hz damping cutoff suppresses much of the reflected brightness. A darker tail can feel less abrasive, but it may still accumulate low-mid energy when several notes overlap.
Budget extra runtime
Every export retains the added decay after the source ends. A very short input can therefore produce a result several times longer, and repeated strong events may create a dense wash that benefits from a lower wet percentage.
