Days Between Dates
Count the calendar days between two dates, with weekday and weekend totals. The interval excludes the ending date and uses no holiday calendar.
- Measure calendar intervals
- Separate weekdays and weekends
- Show signed date order
Define the interval
Enter the starting and ending dates. January 1 to January 2 spans one day because the end date is excluded.
Read signed and absolute totals
signedDays is negative when the end precedes the start. The days and weekday breakdown use the absolute interval.
Understand weekday counting
Monday through Friday count as weekdays. Public holidays, local workweeks and business closures are not subtracted.
Avoid clock-change surprises
Dates are compared using UTC calendar midnights. Daylight-saving transitions cannot turn a calendar day into a fractional result.
