What the receipt contains
The document records tenant and landlord names, rented property address, payment date, rental period, amount and payment mode. A blank acknowledgement line is included. It does not insert a signature, revenue stamp, official emblem or claim approval.
One payment, one record
Use the actual payment date and the dates covered by that payment. A receipt can cover a partial month or several months within one year. An optional transaction reference helps reconcile a bank transfer or UPI payment, while the landlord PAN field is checked for format only.
Print or save the prepared document
Select Create receipt and review every detail in the preview. Print / Save as PDF opens your browser’s print dialog with the receipt alone. Choose Save as PDF there. Browser printing preserves Hindi and other Unicode names using the device’s available fonts.
Receipt and claim paperwork are different
A generated receipt is a draft based on what you type; it does not prove a payment. Obtain the landlord’s acknowledgement and retain the underlying transaction. Employer HRA declarations and attachments are separate: the 2026 rules introduce Form 124 in place of Form 12BB. This page does not generate that statutory form.
