Center the subject first
The tool uses the center of the image. If the face or object is off-center, prepare its position with Image Cropper before applying the circle.
Understand the square export
Image files still have rectangular dimensions. The circle is represented by visible pixels inside a square and transparent pixels outside it.
Leave breathing room
A tight circle can cut into hair, shoulders or a logo. Use a source crop with enough surrounding space for the mask.
Check the destination’s own crop
Some profile systems crop uploaded images again. Preview there before accepting the avatar to avoid an unexpectedly tight result.
