Add Background Color to Image

or drop files here

Place a solid color behind an image’s transparent areas. Prepare a logo, cutout or rounded graphic for a background that matches your design.

Start with real transparency

A transparent PNG or WebP lets the new color show through. An opaque white background will cover it rather than being replaced.

Choose the destination color

Use the same HEX value as your layout when the image needs to blend into a solid surface. Check edge pixels at the intended display size.

Understand partly transparent edges

Antialiased edges blend with the new background according to alpha. A fringe already baked into the source may still be visible.

Remove a flat color separately

If the current background is opaque, use Remove Image Color when color-keying is appropriate. This tool only fills behind existing transparency.

Image Background Color FAQs

JPG normally has no transparent areas, so a background placed behind it is hidden.
No. Fully opaque source pixels cover the new backdrop.
Select the transparent image and choose white as the background color. Preview the filled areas and save the result. If your original photo already has an opaque background, this tool will not remove or replace it; it only fills behind transparency.
