Audio Dynamics Compressor
Reduce the level of louder passages using a dynamics compressor. Set threshold, ratio, attack and release to control peaks within a recording.
- Set threshold and compression ratio
- Adjust attack and release timing
- Export the processed dynamics as WAV
Choose when compression begins
The threshold determines the level above which compression acts. Lowering it causes more of the recording to be affected.
Set the amount of reduction
A higher ratio reduces above-threshold level changes more strongly. Begin moderately to avoid flattening musical or speech dynamics unnecessarily.
Shape transients and recovery
Attack and release control the gain response over time. Extreme timing settings can cause pumping or soften important transients.
Distinguish dynamics from file size
Audio compression here means controlling level variation. WAV output is still PCM; this is not MP3 encoding or a file-size compressor.

Audio Dynamics Compressor FAQs
No. It does not measure integrated loudness or implement a loudness-delivery preset.
No. Compression varies gain with the signal; peak normalization applies one overall scale factor.
No. Dynamics compression changes the relationship between loud and quiet parts. WAV size mainly follows duration, sample rate, channel count and bit depth. Choose this tool to control peaks, not to meet a smaller upload limit in megabytes.
Audio Dynamics Compressor updates the effect during playback when you adjust a control. Use A/B to compare with the source. Render download creates a separate file using the current settings; moving a slider invalidates the previous download.
