Choose the right inputs
Physical size does not determine a unique number of pixels. A selected resolution supplies the missing relationship between paper inches and raster pixels.
Understand the output
The conversion multiplies millimetres divided by 25.4 by DPI, then rounds each side to a whole pixel. Higher DPI produces larger image dimensions.
Use the result carefully
These are full-sheet dimensions rather than the printable area of a specific printer. Leave appropriate margins and disable fit-to-page scaling for dimension-critical photo layouts.
