Wi-Fi QR Generator

The network name must match the access point’s SSID, including letter case. Choose WPA for the common password-based network format supported by QR scanners.

The generated Wi-Fi payload includes the password and security mode. An open network uses nopass with an empty password rather than pretending a password is required.

Semicolons and other reserved characters in the SSID or password are escaped. Without escaping, a punctuation mark could be interpreted as the start of another Wi-Fi field.

Print a guest-network code only for people who should have that access. The QR is an encoding of credentials, so it should be handled like the password itself.
