Enter classes held and attended in the same unit: lectures, lab sessions or days. The attended count cannot exceed held sessions. Use the percentage required by your institution and the number of future sessions actually scheduled, rather than counting weekends or cancelled classes.

Two useful questions answered

To reach a target t by attending every next class, solve (present + x) ÷ (held + x) ≥ t. To reach it by term-end with R sessions remaining, you need at least ceil(t × (held + R) − present) future attendances. The report also shows when the timetable is too short to recover.

Recovery from 70 out of 100

At 70 attended sessions out of 100 and a 75% target, attending the next 20 consecutively gets you to 90/120 = 75%. If there are 40 sessions left overall, attend at least 35 of them to finish at 105/140 = 75%; at most five of those 40 may be missed.

Rules and exceptional cases

CBSE’s August 2025 circular reiterates its 75% requirement for the covered board-exam session. Other institutions and courses may set different thresholds or practical-attendance rules. The target here is editable. If you already missed a class, finite future attendance cannot restore an exact 100% cumulative record. Condonation requires an institutional decision.

Does the attendance result guarantee exam eligibility?

No. Attendance Calculator checks arithmetic against your entered target. Practical requirements, cutoff dates, approved leave and institutional decisions can affect actual eligibility.

Why is the target sometimes impossible?

If attending every remaining class still leaves the final percentage below the target, the term cannot reach that percentage under the supplied timetable. The report states this explicitly rather than recommending more classes than exist.
