Negative Marking Calculator
Estimate a raw examination score section by section, including the cost of incorrect answers and accuracy among attempted questions.
- Different marking rules for each section
- Marks earned and lost shown separately
- Raw-score and accuracy breakdown
Five values for each section
Enter correct answers, wrong answers, unanswered questions, marks per correct answer and a positive penalty per wrong answer. Each section uses its own settings, which supports mixed marking schemes. Counts must be whole numbers; unanswered questions add to the maximum score but earn no marks.
Calculate marks and accuracy separately
Net marks equal correct × reward minus wrong × penalty. Maximum marks include all questions in the entered sections. Accuracy is correct ÷ attempted × 100, where attempted includes correct and wrong but excludes blanks. Scores may be negative; they are not silently forced to zero.
NEET UG 2026 example
The NTA bulletin specifies +4 for a correct answer, −1 for an incorrect option and zero for unanswered questions. The three example rows represent 45, 45 and 90 questions. With 135 correct, 25 wrong and 20 unanswered, the estimated raw score is 515 out of 720.
No rank or percentile prediction
The output is a transparent estimate from your answer counts. Normalisation, answer-key revisions, dropped questions, bonus marks and qualification decisions belong to the exam authority. Replace the sample reward and penalty when practising another examination rather than assuming the NEET scheme applies.
