Electric Charge Converter

Electric Charge Converter lets you convert electric charge through the coulomb: value × source factor / target factor. Enter your own values or load the worked example.

Method and calculation

Convert electric charge through the coulomb: value × source factor / target factor. Factors relative to coulomb: C = 1; mC = 0.001; µC = 0.000001; Ah = 3600; mAh = 3.6.

Inputs and settings

Electric Charge Converter accepts Value (minimum 0); From unit (C, mC, µC, Ah, mAh); To unit (C, mC, µC, Ah, mAh).

Worked example

Electric Charge Converter example — Value: 1; From unit: "C"; To unit: "mC". Computed output: { "value": 1000, "unit": "mC", "baseValue": 1, "baseUnit": "coulomb" }

Output and limitations

Charge accumulates when current flows over time. One ampere-hour equals 3600 coulombs; milliampere-hours therefore equal 3.6 coulombs each. Battery capacity in charge units cannot be converted into watt-hours without an operating voltage and discharge model.

Electric Charge Converter FAQs

Electric Charge Converter applies the following rule to your input: Convert electric charge through the coulomb: value × source factor / target factor. The worked example on this page uses the same processor as the result button.
Electric Charge Converter has these boundaries: The electric charge factors are fixed conversions. Unit labels specify the convention; no live data is fetched. Start by checking the value field against the units or format shown.
Electric Charge Converter provides this sample: { "value": 1000, "unit": "mC", "baseValue": 1, "baseUnit": "coulomb" }. Use the sample button to reproduce it, then replace the inputs with your own values.
