JSON to CSV Converter

Convert a JSON array of records into a CSV table. Fields from different records become shared columns, so missing values do not shift the table.

Start with an array of objects

Paste records such as [{"name":"Asha","score":8}]. Each object becomes one row and property names become the column headers.

Handle uneven records

The converter uses the union of keys across the array. A record without a particular field leaves that cell empty.

Preserve nested structures visibly

Arrays and nested objects are serialized into a single CSV cell. This does not flatten their properties into additional columns.

Open spreadsheet output carefully

Potential formula-leading cells receive an apostrophe prefix. This helps reduce spreadsheet formula execution; review untrusted data before importing it into other software.

JSON to CSV FAQs

It is a safety prefix for a value that a spreadsheet might otherwise interpret as a formula.
Wrap it in an array first so it represents one table row.
Copy the array inside the records property, not the entire wrapper object. For example, use [{"name":"Asha"}] rather than {"records":[{"name":"Asha"}]}. Each object becomes a row; nested values stay serialized in cells rather than expanding into new columns.
