Magnetic Flux Converter

Magnetic Flux Converter lets you convert magnetic flux through the weber: value × source factor / target factor. Enter your own values or load the worked example.

Method and calculation

Convert magnetic flux through the weber: value × source factor / target factor. Factors relative to weber: Wb = 1; mWb = 0.001; µWb = 0.000001; Mx = 1e-8.

Inputs and settings

Magnetic Flux Converter accepts Value (minimum 0); From unit (Wb, mWb, µWb, Mx); To unit (Wb, mWb, µWb, Mx).

Worked example

Magnetic Flux Converter example — Value: 1; From unit: "Wb"; To unit: "mWb". Computed output: { "value": 1000, "unit": "mWb", "baseValue": 1, "baseUnit": "weber" }

Output and limitations

Magnetic flux measures the integrated field passing through a surface. Weber is the SI unit and maxwell is the older centimetre-gram-second unit. Coil turns multiply flux linkage, so distinguish a single-loop flux value from a winding’s total linked flux.

Magnetic Flux Converter FAQs

Magnetic Flux Converter applies the following rule to your input: Convert magnetic flux through the weber: value × source factor / target factor. The worked example on this page uses the same processor as the result button.
Magnetic Flux Converter has these boundaries: The magnetic flux factors are fixed conversions. Unit labels specify the convention; no live data is fetched. Start by checking the value field against the units or format shown.
Magnetic Flux Converter provides this sample: { "value": 1000, "unit": "mWb", "baseValue": 1, "baseUnit": "weber" }. Use the sample button to reproduce it, then replace the inputs with your own values.
