Audio Panner Online

or drop files here

Position a recording between the left and right speakers. The tool creates a mono downmix and applies equal-power panning to produce a two-channel result.

Choose the stereo position

A left setting favors the left speaker and a right setting favors the right. Center sends the signal to both sides.

Understand the mono starting point

Existing stereo input is combined before panning. The original left/right width is not preserved as an independently balanced stereo image.

Use equal-power center gains

The center applies approximately 0.707 gain to each output channel. This follows the equal-power rule rather than duplicating full-level audio to both sides.

Prepare placement before mixing

Pan a source and then combine it with other material when building a simple layered arrangement. The control sets one position for the whole recording.

Stereo Panner FAQs

Yes. Move the pan control while listening for an immediate preview. The download uses the final fixed position; use Auto Panner for repeating movement rendered into the file.
No. It pans a mono downmix rather than independently attenuating the original stereo sides.
Yes. Adjust the pan toward the desired side and listen with headphones or stereo speakers. The processor pans a mono downmix, so an existing wide stereo recording will not keep its original channel separation. Use channel swapping when you only need to exchange the sides.
Stereo Panner updates the effect during playback when you adjust a control. Use A/B to compare with the source. Render download creates a separate file using the current settings; moving a slider invalidates the previous download.
